What is a leak?
A leak on a merchant’s website could be defined as, any element of a merchant’s website that will divert YOUR traffic to an area that does not provide you with affiliate commissions. There are many different kinds of leaks, but some quick examples of the most frequently found leaks are:
- Phone numbers, Live Chats & Contact Form can all be potential leaks! IF your affiliate ID is not properly tracked.
- External Links & Advertisements are huge leaks. You send your hard earned visitors to your merchant partner, who turns around and sends them elsewhere where you earn no commissions. This should setup off some major red flags.
How we prevent leaks?
- We sent 90%+ of all of our orders through our order form, which is equipped with our automated ShareASale tracking code.
- We do not have any external links on our website, nor do we place any PPC (or other) advertisements on our site.
- We have taken extra steps to ensure we have proper tracking for email, live chat, and phone orders for the few rare times we don’t take orders on the order form.
We’ve gone the extra mile to ensure every sale is tracked!
